BBI, Spreader Specialties Taking MagnaSpread, Endurance to Big Iron Farm Show

BBI Spreaders is proud to announce its participation, in conjunction with Spreader Specialties, in the September’s Big Iron Farm Show.

The Big Iron Farm Show convenes over 800 exhibitors and more than 80,000 attendees at the annual event in North Dakota. The show will take place at West Fargo’s Red River Valley Fairgrounds from September 11-13.  Founded in 1983 with the idea that North Dakota should have its own showcase for farm equipment—“big iron”—the Big Iron Farm Show has grown from a narrowly-focused equipment show to “a three-day celebration of rural living—agribusiness, health, innovation and technology.”

The leadership of the Big Iron Farm Show forged an alliance with the North Dakota Trade Office to promote an international visitors program. This program brings more than 40 visitors from agriculture-intensive global markets to link them in commercial activity with U.S. farms, ranches, and equipment manufacturers.

BBI’s Denny McCauley will be attending Big Iron, along with one of our key partners for the area, Mike Olson of Spreader Specialties.  Spreader Specialties works with farmers in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and northern Iowa, ensuring that farmers in these areas are equipped with the latest offerings in BBI spreaders, parts, service, and technology for precision farming capabilities.

At this year’s Big Iron Farm Show, McCauley and Olson will be demonstrating a 16-foot MagnaSpread, from BBI’s line of spreaders optimized for granular fertilizer and lime applications.  The MagnaSpread series, available in both truck-mount and pull-type single-axle and tandem-axle versions, features the ISOBUS-compatible BBI Binary Manifold as standard equipment. The Binary Manifold connects with a variety of precision farming technology software systems from every manufacturer currently leveraging the ISOBUS platform.

In addition to MagnaSpread, McCauley and Olson will be showing one of BBI’s 22-foot Endurance spreaders, customized to spread a variety of materials including, litter, lime, shavings, compost, wood chips, manure, and mulch.  The Endurance series is available in truck-mount and pull-type hydraulic models, as well as a pull-type mechanical model.

“Once again, we are proud to bring BBI’s spreaders to Big Iron with Mike Olson of Spreader Specialties,” stated Lee Kilpatrick, Director of Sales and Marketing at BBI Spreaders. “Mike is a great partner for us in the Northern Plains, and he does a fantastic job of addressing the needs of farmers in the Dakotas region for BBI’s spreaders, parts, service, and our emerging electronics tools for precision agriculture. The farmers and ranchers in this part of the country are critical to feeding the world and doing so in a way that will be sustainable and profitable, and Big Iron is a great place for us to work with them.
