Each February the global agriculture community descends upon Louisville, Kentucky for America’s largest indoor farm show, the National Farm Machinery Show. This year’s show is a special one, marking the 50th anniversary of the event, and Salford Group will take its unified product line of precision tillage and nutrient applicators to the world’s largest stage for farm equipment.
More than 300,000 attendees are expected at the Kentucky Exposition Center for the 50th anniversary National Farm Machinery Show. Along with its sister event, the 47th annual Championship Tractor Pull,, the National Farm Machinery Show takes place from February 11-14.
Salford Group will be sending a host of executives and professionals to support its dealers from across North America as they educate producers from across the country and around the world at the National Farm Machinery Show. In addition to Dave King, Director of Sales and Marketing at Salford Group, Richard Hagler, President of Salford BBI, and Anson Boak, Marketing Manager at Salford Group, several territory managers will offer their expertise to prospective customers, including Keith Belt, David Shearer, Jim Danielson, Brian Hobson, Dave Gunkelman, Mike Dopp, and Jason McCallum.
Denny McCauley, Manager of Specialty and Commercial Markets, as well as Russ McEver from customer service at Salford BBI, will also be on-hand at the show.
Several representatives of Salford Group’s global dealer network will be at the National Farm Machinery Show, including Gary Fennig and Wes Liebrecht of Coldwater, Ohio’s Fennig Equipment and Curt Dambman of Dambman Service in Milledgeville, Illinois.
For this special running of the National Farm Machinery Show, Salford Group will bring an equipment lineup that reflects the company’s excellence and standard-setting in tillage and precision nutrient application innovation over the last decade. From Salford’s Independent Series group of vertical tillage models, the company is showcasing the I-1224. This machine will be equipped with the SwitchBlade chisel shank kit attachment and Flex Finish hydraulically adjustable rolling baskets for added versatility in the field. The I-1224 will also be equipped with a Valmar™ 1655 cover crop applicator to further showcase the machine’s versatility.
The company will also display a pair of breakthrough spreaders from Salford BBI, the recently-launched Javelin hydraulic top-dresser from the Producer Series and MagnaSpread, the company’s flagship series of hydraulic models for precision application of fertilizer and lime. Javelin recently set a new standard for fertilizer application, as the spreader’s all-new spinner system achieves a wide, flat spread pattern of 120 feet, enabling a true drive interval of the same width, matching global standards for controlled traffic farming.
The 14-foot MagnaSpread tandem-axle pull-type featured at the show is optimized for precision agriculture applications on medium to large-sized farming operations.
“We are thrilled to bring a large contingent of people and products to this year’s National Farm Machinery Show,” stated Boak. “This year’s event is special for all attendees, as it marks the 50th year of one of the top events on the ag show circuit, and it’s special for us as it brings together our lineup of tillage equipment and precision nutrient applicators in Louisville for the first time. This show reflects the global vision of agriculture, much in the same way our company seeks to make a positive impact on the economics of agriculture at the global level.”
