Salford Team Rides to Alberta, New York, and Tennessee with Tillage, Spreader Innovations

Salford BBI Liberty Mechanical Pull-Type Fertilizer Spreader

It’s another great week in farming, as Salford territory managers and dealers are traveling to three more agriculture shows to educate farmers on tillage and nutrient applicator innovations across North America.

First up this week is Ag Expo, western Canada’s premier agriculture show held annually in Lethbridge, Alberta at Exhibition Park. This year’s Ag Expo will run from February 25-27.  The event includes farm equipment, livestock supplies, chemicals, seeds, irrigation, producers and marketers of crops and livestock. Ag Expo is also host to the North American Seed Fair, with over 53 classes in Pedigreed Seed Classes, Open Classes, and Junior Classes on display.

Salford’s newest territory manager, Glenn Herperger, who covers southern Alberta and Saskatchewan, will join colleague Clay Dillman in the company’s booths (inside at 253/254; outside at 914/915), bringing a double shot of expertise to our vertical tillage showcase at Ag Expo.

Herperger and Dillman will have on-hand a pair of industry-leading tillage designs from the Salford Independent Series, the I-2100 and the I-5100. The Independent Series has redefined the global tillage equipment sector over the last decade pioneering true vertical tillage machines; the I-5100 with more powerful high speed, high-clearance primary tillage; and the latest innovations in precision tillage options capable of site-specific tillage action.

Back east, territory manager Phill Doty is in an “Empire State of Mind” as he heads to the New York Farm Show February 26-28.  Doty joins Daryl Hoover from area dealer Twin Clover Equipment in booth DFD at the Toyota Dairy Exhibit Center on the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Over 400 vendors will showcase products and services from the world of agriculture, including farm equipment and implements, feed and seed, as well as agribusiness services.

Doty and Twin Clover’s Hoover will feature some incredible tools from the arsenal of Salford precision tillage and Salford BBI precision nutrient applicators at the New York Farm Show. From the I-Series, the I-2100 will again be on display in upstate New York, along with a true multi-purpose, primary tillage implement, the 9700 CTS.

Pushing the economics of farming to next-level performance, the 9700 CTS (Conservation Tillage Specialist) is designed to reduce equipment capital and operating costs by performing multiple operations efficiently with one machine. Salford's unique design allows users to use the CTS, minimum tillage residue sizing, deep tillage finishing, or deep ripping—reducing capital costs and maintenance.

From the Salford BBI family of precision nutrient applicators, Doty will showcase a 10-foot, single-axle MagnaSpread from the company’s flagship line of hydraulic spreaders for targeted application of fertilizer and lime.  An option-rich line optimized to meet the precision agriculture technology demands of today’s farmers, MagnaSpread is the industry leader in cost-in-use, a performance indicator of efficiency driven by reduced material and fuel waste along with increased crop yield.

The 10-foot MagnaSpread featured at the New York Farm Show is a model designed for medium-capacity field applications and comes standard equipped with the company’s Binary Manifold, an ISOBUS-ready platform making connections to all major precision agriculture technology a snap to perform.

For the last stop this week, it’s Graceland—or Memphis, Tennessee, at least.  Territory managers Keith Belt and Brian Hobson head to the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show at the Memphis Cook Convention Center on February 27-28.

In town to support multiple area mid-South dealers at the show, the tag team of Belt and Hobson will man the Salford Group booth in the 1004-1005 space in the Cook Convention Center’s large hall throughout the event.  As with the New York Farm Show event, the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show booth will feature a 10-foot, single-axle MagnaSpread configured for medium-capacity applications of fertilizer and lime.
