BBI Joins Premier Equipment at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

The BBI trade show express rolls on in September, with the company participating in a host of national and regional events that bring together the agriculture community across North America.  Next up is Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

The Outdoor Farm Show is our northern neighbor’s largest agricultural trade show.  The event takes place at the spacious event facilities at Canada’s Outdoor Park in rural Woodstock, Ontario, nearly halfway between Toronto and Detroit.

The 2013 edition of the Outdoor Farm Show will take place September 10-12.  The show is a true national event, bringing the country’s agriculture community together with more than 40,000 attendees surveying the products and services of more than 750 exhibitors.

The Outdoor Farm Show highlights the most innovative and technologically-advanced products and services available in today’s agriculture market.  Canada has a sizeable ag sector, with more than 230,000 farms in operation, with nearly a quarter of those farms operating in the show’s home province of Ontario.

This year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the Outdoor Farm Show.  The show will feature a variety of demonstrations, including equipment in the tillage, biomass, and corn stalk-chopping areas.

BBI’s Gerry Winters, territory sales manager for the northeastern United States and Canada, will join Ontario’s Premier Equipment, one of the company’s key dealer partners in Canada, at this year’s Outdoor Farm Show.  With 10 locations serving the province, Premier Equipment is an Ontario farming institution.  David Shaw, sales leader at Premier Equipment, will partner with Winters at the event.

Winters and Shaw will be showcasing BBI’s MagnaSpread and Endurance, the company’s flagship hydraulic spreaders, at the event.  MagnaSpread is BBI’s industry leader in cost-in-use for dry application of fertilizer and lime.  Available in a variety of lengths and hopper configurations, the MagnaSpread line meets the needs of small ag & turf farms all the way to large farming operations with its Producer Series models.

Endurance is BBI’s rugged leader in applications of manure, compost, litter, aggregates, and other organic materials.  Like MagnaSpread, Endurance features ISOBUS connections for optimizing applications through precision agriculture technology.

According to Winters, BBI’s participation in the event is key to the company’s continued success outside American borders. “Over the last few years, we have become a company with an international presence, with dealers in Canada, South America, and Australia,” stated Winters.  “Canada’s farmers are very important to us, and we design our products to meet the unique needs they have in the field, just as we do for farmers in America and around the world.  Premier Equipment has been instrumental to introducing BBI Spreaders to Canadian farm managers, and their commitments to our company and their customers are equally strong.  It’s a pleasure to join David Shaw and Premier Equipment at this year’s Outdoor Farm Show.”
