BBI Sponsors Tennessee Farmers Cooperative Annual Managers’ Meeting

The Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, one of the country’s largest agriculture federations, will hold its annual meeting of managers in July, and BBI Spreaders is proud to serve as an event sponsor for the eighth consecutive year.

Founded in 1945, the Tennessee Farmers Co-op has grown from its original 33 member co-op-strong federation to a group representing nearly 60 member co-operatives and more than 150 retail outlets across 83 of Tennessee’s 95 counties.  In addition to serving more than half a million customers from these retail outlets, the Co-op has also expanded beyond the borders of the Volunteer State in recent years, as member co-operatives have expanded their presence into the bordering states of Kentucky, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, and Mississippi.

While the Co-op’s retail locations stock a variety of products for the farm, BBI works with the organization’s Ag Equipment division, a group tasked with helping farmers by bringing the best equipment, including sprayers, implements, and dry material applicators, to their fields.

Currently on offer to Co-op stores, through the Ag Equipment division, is a full arsenal of BBI’s industry-leading spreaders for a variety of applications.   The company stocks multiple configurations of MagnaSpread and Endurance, BBI’s hydraulic lines for large-acreage applications of fertilizer and lime, as well as litter and other organic materials.  In addition to the hydraulic offerings, the Tennessee Farmers Co-op offers a host of spreader solutions in the mechanical, ground-wheel drive class, including Liberty, the company’s offering for small and mid-sized farming operations, and Cricket, BBI’s mechanical spreader family with option packages optimized for ag and turf farms, golf course management, and orchards and vineyards.

TFC’s Ag Equipment division also carries Trooper, BBI’s precision solution for small-acreage farms needing rental equipment towable by truck or tractor.

In addition to sponsoring the company’s summer managers’ meeting, BBI Spreaders also delivers continuing education on an annual basis to equipment drivers among the cooperative’s thousands of members.

“BBI Spreaders salutes the Tennessee Farmers Co-op, a true treasure in the ag community in its 68th year serving farmers throughout Tennessee and the Southeast,” stated Lee Kilpatrick, the company’s director of sales and marketing.  “The Co-op is the result of the unique vision of area farmers back in the 1940s, and they have remained true to that vision while remaining flexible to adapt to the needs of future generations of farmers.  Our partners in the Ag Equipment division have remained committed to world-class equipment, such as our MagnaSpread and Endurance lines, as well as precision ag technology offerings from an elite group of software providers, setting up Tennessee farmers to be leaders for generations to come.  I am proud to represent BBI Spreaders at the annual meeting, and I look forward to seeing old friends again and making new ones as our companies’ partnership continues to thrive and grow.”
