BBI Team Heads to Sunbelt Ag Expo

While our team enjoys seeing our dealers and customers at ag shows across North America each year, the month of October brings a special event to the BBI calendar with the Sunbelt Ag Expo in our home state of Georgia.

Held annually at Spence Field in Moultrie, the Sunbelt Ag Expo is a hybrid indoor-outdoor show with a 100-acre exhibit site flanked by a 600-acre working research farm.  The 35th edition of the Expo will take place this year from October 15-17.

More than 100,000 attendees from across the South, as well as multiple international visitors, make the annual trek to Moultrie for one of the country’s premier ag shows.  Sunbelt features over 1,200 exhibitors showcasing more than 4,000 product lines representing the latest in farming equipment and technology.

Farmers attending the Sunbelt Ag Expo are regional and national leaders in production of crops such as peanuts, corn, cotton, soybeans, and turf.  In addition to the product exhibits and demonstrations, attending farmers enjoy multiple educational opportunities from agricultural schools at leading universities.

At this year’s Expo, Lee Kilpatrick, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Randy Copeland, Territory Sales Manager for the southeastern United States, will lead a large BBI contingent in attendance.  The BBI team will showcase multiple spreaders across the BBI family of products, including MagnaSpread, Endurance, Liberty, and Grasshopper.

MagnaSpread and Endurance are BBI’s flagship lines of hydraulic spreaders optimized for precision agriculture.  The industry leader in precision application of fertilizer and lime, MagnaSpread is available in pull-type and truck-mount versions with a variety of sizes and option packages tailored to environments ranging from golf courses, ag & turf farms, orchards, and vineyards to large-acreage farming operations.

The industry leader in cost-in-use for application of litter, manure, and other organic applications, Endurance is also available in pull-type and truck-mount options.  Like MagnaSpread, Endurance comes standard-equipped with BBI’s Binary Manifold, which makes connections to ISOBUS-ready technology platforms a snap.  The two flagship hydraulic lines also come standard-equipped with the recently-launched guidance and variable-rate technology suite from BBI Electronics, the Task Command System.

Liberty is BBI’s original tandem-axle, ground-wheel-drive spreader for a variety of medium-capacity applications on the farm.  Grasshopper is a high-clearance, single-axle, ground-wheel-drive mechanical spreader specifically targeted for top dressing of row crops.

“BBI Spreaders is proud to once again showcase our family of fine spreaders at this year’s Sunbelt Ag Expo,” stated Kilpatrick.  “We design, engineer, and manufacture our products right here in our home state of Georgia, and we’re proud that our spreaders improve economic performance of farming operations all over the world.  We look forward to seeingfriends old and new at Sunbelt in October.”
