BBI VISITS RALEIGH’S SOUTHERN FARM SHOW

BBI Spreaders keeps the trucks moving along for the winter trade show season, with a late-January stop at the Southern Farm Show in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Southern Farm Show is the largest exposition of farm equipment, products, and services in the Carolinas and Virginia.  Featuring over 300 exhibitors, the show will take place January 30-February 1 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.

The 2013 edition of the Southern Farm Show will feature a variety of meetings, workshops, and continuing education seminars, including a presentation from Tom Reed of TeeJet Technologies, a BBI technology partner for precision application of dry material.  The show concludes on Friday, February 1 with an end-of-show tradition, the 30th running of the Southern/National Draft Horse Pull.

Randy Copeland, BBI’s territory sales manager for the southeastern United States, will lead the company’s booth presence at the show, which features four of BBI’s market-leading spreaders, including MagnaSpread, Endurance, Liberty, and Grasshopper.  MagnaSpread is BBI’s flagship hydraulic spreader for large-scale, precision application of granular fertilizer and lime.  Endurance is the company’s rugged hydraulic spreader for large-scale, precision application of litter and other organic materials. MagnaSpread and Endurance models feature BBI’s proprietary Binary Manifold, making connections to precision agriculture technology tools a snap.

Grasshopper is BBI’s mechanical, ground-wheel drive spreader for medium-capacity application of fertilizer and lime, optimized for row crops as well as sod and turf farms.  Rounding out the Southern Farm Show lineup is Liberty, BBI’s tandem-axle, medium-capacity spreader that features a ground-wheel drive conveyor and hydraulic or PTO-driven spinners.  Grasshopper and Liberty feature BBI’s exclusive spreader system, delivering wider, flatter, and more consistent spread patterns in the field.

Ed Stevens of Stevens Truck and Tractor, a BBI dealer in Goldsboro, North Carolina, will join Copeland in the BBI booth for the show.  Stevens and Copeland will speak with Carolinas farmers about the BBI products featured at the show, as well as specialty spreaders from the extended BBI line, including Cricket, Trooper, SideShooter, and RockBody.

"We’re very excited to have a big lineup of BBI spreaders at this year’s Southern Farm Show,” stated Copeland.  “This show gives us a great opportunity to speak with a great group of farmers who grow everything from peanuts and soybeans to tobacco and cotton, sharing with them how BBI designs spreaders always with their needs in mind.  We’re also honored to have Ed Stevens, one of our favorite dealers in the area, join us for what will be another memorable show.”
