BBI’s Winters, Monroe Tractor Head to Empire Farm Days
/BBI’s Gerry Winters is in an empire state of mind, as he heads to the Empire Farm Days ag show this week with BBI’s dealer partner serving the New York farming community, Monroe Tractor.
Empire Farm Days, the Northeast’s largest agricultural exposition, will take place once again at Rodman Lott and Sons Farms in Seneca Falls, New York. From August 6-8, Empire Farm Days will take over 300 acres in upstate New York with displays and test drives of farming equipment, educational seminars, demonstrations, and “Ask the Experts” sessions.
BBI and Monroe Tractor join more than 700 exhibitors from the world of farming, with exhibiting companies ranging from equipment manufacturers to feed & seed companies and ag-focused financial services firms. Admission to the event is free.
Gerry Winters, BBI’s territory sales manager for the northeastern United States, will join the sales team from Monroe Tractor, a dealership serving the construction and agriculture industries with 11 locations in the Empire State. Seven of Monroe’s 11 locations—Batavia, Canandaigua, Auburn, Adams Center, Binghamton, Elmira, and Hornell—focus on ag equipment ranging from tractors and harvesters to tillage, hay and forage, application, and precision agriculture electronics.
2013 marks Monroe Tractor’s 62nd year in business, since its founding in 1951 by Henry Hansen.
At this year’s Empire Farm Days, Winters and Monroe Tractor will feature two of BBI’s models, MagnaSpread and Liberty. Both of these models are focused on precision application of fertilizer and lime. MagnaSpread is a hydraulic offering for large-acreage farms, while Liberty is a mechanical, ground-wheel-drive line geared for medium-capacity jobs. MagnaSpread, optimized for precision agriculture technology through BBI’s proprietary Binary Manifold, spreads fertilizer in 80-foot swaths.
