Hobson Joins BBI Spreaders Sales Team in Southern U. S.

BBI Spreaders is pleased to announce an addition to its growing sales team serving dealers across North America, as Brian Hobson joins BBI as its second territory sales manager for the southern United States region.

Hobson, based in the Mississippi Delta farming region, will build BBI’s dealer-based business across a five-state area including his home state of Mississippi, along with Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.  Randy Copeland will continue to serve southern dealerships from his base in Georgia, driving dealer business in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, the Carolinas, and Virginia.

A native of Indianola, Mississippi, Hobson graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a degree in agriculture.  Hobson brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his position, having key experience in both farming and selling precision agriculture technology systems. During his time as a farmer, Hobson managed two large-acreage farms, each over 3000 acres, growing corn and soybeans in the Mississippi Delta.

Hobson also worked in business development for Delta Precision, Inc., a leading precision agriculture technology firm based in Boyle, Mississippi. While working at Delta Precision, Hobson consulted with farm managers to address their needs for auto-steer, field guidance, GPS, variable rate file generation, and other technology capabilities.

Lee Kilpatrick, BBI’s Director of Sales and Marketing, sees Hobson as a perfect match for dealers and their customers in the mid-South region.  “We are very excited to have Brian on board at BBI,” stated Kilpatrick.  “I was immediately struck with his passion for the farming business, and he has that critical mix of experience that our dealers and their customers need.  He is a rising star in the farming world, and he’s positioned himself well with his broad, deep knowledge of precision agriculture.  Working with our dealers and customers is a natural extension of his talents, and we look forward to seeing our company grow through his efforts.”
