Trade Show Watch: BBI Team Hits Idaho, Ohio, and Iowa to Round Out January Ag Circuit

As we like to say at BBI, there’s no rest for the strong.  Our sales team continues to hit the road in support of our dealer network, with appearances at ag shows in Idaho, Ohio, and Iowa to round out our trade show itinerary for January 2014.

Brian Hobson, territory manager for the Southwest and western United States, leads the way during the final stage of the month, teaming up with one of our favorite western dealers, Smith Equipment, as they head to the Eastern Idaho Ag Show. Serving a multi-state region from its Rupert, Idaho headquarters, Smith Equipment is a family business with a first-rate commitment to sales and servicing of sprayers, spreaders, and livestock equipment.

The Eastern Idaho Ag Show will run from January 21-23, taking place at the Holt Arena on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello.

Gerry Winters, BBI’s territory sales manager for the Northeast and Canada, joins longtime BBI partner Agro Chem for the Ohio Power Show on January 24-26.  For nearly 40 years, the Peas family and Agro Chem have provided sprayers and spreaders to meet the needs of farmers in Ohio and Indiana. Headquartered in Wabash, Indiana, the company also maintains a location in Wilmington, Ohio.

The Ohio Power Show will feature exhibits from over 500 companies showcasing agricultural, construction, and outdoor power equipment.  The 2014 show will take place at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, home of the state fair.

Rounding out the month’s activities is the Iowa Power Farming Show in Denny McCauley’s hometown of Des Moines.   Taking place on January 28-29 at the Iowa Events Center, the Iowa Power Farming Show is the nation’s third-largest indoor ag show and one of the highlight’s of BBI’s winter show season.  Over 20,000 attendees from nearly 30 states and four Canadian provinces enjoy exhibits from more than 750 companies.  Exhibitors include companies representing both the power farming equipment sector, as well as multiple precision agriculture technology offerings.

Joining Denny in Des Moines is BBI’s partner for Iowa, Minnesota, and the Dakotas, Spreader Specialties.  Led by Mike Olson and based in Austin, Minnesota, Spreader Specialties is an exclusive dealer of BBI spreaders, serving farmers, municipalities, and golf course managers throughout the dealership’s four-state territory.  Olson and his team have an exemplary commitment to customer service, stocking a full range of spreaders for dry application of fertilizer, lime, and organic materials, as well as replacement parts.
