BBI SADDLES UP FOR THE WESTERN FARM SHOW

The BBI team continues its ride through the winter trade show schedule, and the next stop is the “heart of ag.”

Denny McCauley, Lee Kilpatrick, and Russ McEver will represent BBI Spreaders at the Western Farm Show in Kansas City, Missouri.  The 52nd edition of the Western Farm Show will take place at Kansas City’s American Royal Complex from February 22-24.

Event organizers bill the show as the “heart of agriculture.”  As the Midwest’s premier indoor show for the winter season, the Western Farm show features over 500 exhibitors and 400,000 square feet of exhibition space filled with farm and ranch equipment, as well as livestock supplies, buildings, fertilizer, feed, seed, tools, irrigation systems, and more.

The show will feature an entire day dedicated to the FFA, as well as educational seminars, and livestock demonstrations.

BBI is sending in a special forces team to this year’s event in Kansas City. McCauley is BBI’s territory sales manager supporting the company’s dealer network in the Midwest and western United States, based in Des Moines, Iowa, while Lee Kilpatrick is the director of sales and marketing, based at corporate headquarters in Cornelia, Georgia. The company recently tabbed McEver, also based in Georgia, to lead its Parts and Aftermarket group.

Also representing BBI at this year’s event will be Scott Whitworth, driver of the Light Super-stock BBI tractor, in the Western Farm Show’s Championship Tractor Pull.

BBI will have a lot of “big iron” on display at the Western Farm Show, as the booth will feature four of BBI’s market-leading spreaders, including MagnaSpreadEnduranceLiberty, and Grasshopper.  MagnaSpread is BBI’s flagship hydraulic spreader for large-scale, precision application of granular fertilizer and lime.  Endurance is the company’s rugged hydraulic spreader for large-scale, precision application of litter and other organic materials. MagnaSpread and Endurance models feature BBI’s proprietary Binary Manifold, making connections to precision agriculture technology tools a snap.

Grasshopper is BBI’s mechanical, ground-wheel drive spreader for medium-capacity application of fertilizer and lime, optimized for row crops as well as sod and turf farms.  Rounding out the Western Farm Show lineup is Liberty, BBI’s tandem-axle, medium-capacity spreader that features a ground-wheel drive conveyor and hydraulic or PTO-driven spinners.  Grasshopper and Liberty feature BBI’s exclusive spreader system, delivering wider, flatter, and more consistent spread patterns in the field.

"It’s an honor to have Lee and Russ join me in the BBI booth at the Western Farm Show,” stated McCauley. “Our theme for 2013 is engagement—with a bigger-than-ever commitment to our dealers and customers in the field.  This is a great show, and we’re proud to be a part of it, showing that commitment to the people who sell and use our products every day.”
