BBI Team Heads to Wisconsin for Farm Technology Days

BBI’s Dennis McCauley and Russell McEver will team with upper-Midwest dealer AgSystems for the 2014 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

In its 60th year, Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is a three-day outdoor event, taking place August 12-14 at a pair of family farms, Blue Top Farms and the Peltz Family Farms, in Portage County. The largest agricultural show in Wisconsin, and one of the largest in the nation, Farm Technology Days showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture, including many practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments. One of the more unique features of Farm Technology Days is that each year one of the key exhibits is the venue itself, as the show rotates sites across the state featuring different host family farms.

Wisconsin Farm Technology Days features more than 600 commercial and educational exhibitors from sectors featuring machinery, equipment, facilities, products, and service needs. According to the show website, a wide variety of agricultural products and services used in today's dairy, livestock, and crop production systems in Wisconsin will be on display. In addition, specialists and county extension agents from the University of Wisconsin and state and federal agencies are on hand to answer questions. Educational exhibits, special interest displays, and field machinery demonstrations provide something of interest for everyone.

McCauley, BBI’s territory sales manager for the Midwest and Northeast, will attend the show, along with McEver, leader of the company’s after-market parts and electronics division in Georgia.  McCauley and McEver will support the team from AgSystems, based a BBI Spreaders dealer based in Hutchinson, Minnesota.  Nearing its 50th anniversary in 2015, AgSystems is a leader in sales, parts, and service for a variety of applicator equipment types.

The AgSystems booth at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will feature BBI’s flagship hydraulic spreader brands, MagnaSpread and Endurance.  MagnaSpread is the industry leader in cost-in-use, a measure of precision and efficiency that drives higher yields, reduced waste, and greater profitability from targeted application of fertilizer and lime.  Endurance is MagnaSpread’s hydraulic platform counterpart for application of heavier, wetter organic material, such as compost, manure, chicken litter, beet lime, and aggregate compounds.

MagnaSpread and Endurance are option-rich lines, with a variety of sizes available for applications ranging from small to mid-sized farms and golf courses all the way to versions optimized for large-acreage farms, featured in the Producer Series from BBI Spreaders.

“Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is a great opportunity for BBI Spreaders and the team at AgSystems to showcase our unbeatable combination of precision applicators optimized for the latest advancements in precision farming technology,” stated McCauley. “I’m pleased that Russ McEver will be bringing his expertise to the show, to complement the longstanding respect held by the area farming community for the team at AgSystems.  We are proud to represent BBI and help area farmers bring the best equipment and technology to their fields, for greater profitability and sustainability.”
