BBI’s Copeland, Allegheny Ag Travel to Penn State Ag Progress Days

Next week in Rock Springs, Pennsylvania, the mid-Atlantic farming community gathers for Pennsylvania State University’s Ag Progress Days, an important stop on the northeast agriculture trade show summer circuit.
Randy Copeland, territory sales manager for BBI Spreaders, will join a special partner in the area, Richard Strite of Allegheny Ag, for Ag Progress Days. Sponsored by Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, Ag Progress Days takes place annually at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Center at Rock Springs, just outside of State College. The 2014 event will run from August 12-14, as one of only three agricultural exhibitions sponsored by a major university.
Exhibits at Ag Progress Days will showcase the latest in research advancements at Penn State, as well as information on best management practices and changing regulations that impact farming operations. 400 exhibitors from the wide world of ag equipment and services, representing 34 U. S. states and four Canadian provinces will meet more than 45,000 attendees representing family farms from across Pennsylvania and neighboring states.
The show features an impressive 80-plus acres dedicated to crop and machinery demonstrations, in addition to 55 acres of indoor and outdoor equipment, services, technology, and educational exhibits.
Copeland and Strite will man the booth for Allegheny Ag, a key BBI Spreaders dealer partner based in Hagerstown, Maryland. The Allegheny Ag booth will feature BBI’s flagship hydraulic spreader brands, MagnaSpread and Endurance. MagnaSpread is the industry leader in cost-in-use, a measure of precision and efficiency that drives higher yields, reduced waste, and greater profitability from targeted application of fertilizer and lime.
