BBI’s Hobson, S&H Farm Supply Travel to Four State Farm Show

On July 18-20, heartland farmers will travel to Pittsburg, Kansas for the Four State Farm Show, one of the top outdoor conventions of agriculture producers and agribusinesses, and BBI Spreaders will be there.

Brian Hobson, the company’s territory sales manager for the Southwest and Western United States, will join one of BBI’s key dealer partners in the region, S&H Farm Supply, at the show. Celebrating its 45th anniversary in business, S&H is a farming institution in southern Missouri, with four locations in Lockwood, Mountain Grove, Joplin, and Rogersville.  The dealer is a leader in sales of new and used equipment and leverages its multiple locations with a parts and service shuttle to ensure that all equipment sold at S&H stays where it belongs, running in the fields and taking farms in the Four State region to greater profitability.

This year’s running of the Four State Farm Show marks an anniversary of its own, as 2014 is the 40th anniversary of this venerable event.  According to show organizers at Farm Talk newspaper, the show has grown from an original 60 indoor and 25 outdoor exhibits in 1974 to its present status as an outdoor “Mall of Agriculture,” featuring over 700 booths covering 25 acres at the show grounds.

In its present form, the Four State Farm Show features product exhibits from every farming equipment sector, as well as products from innovative agribusiness-oriented firms from across the country.  At the 40th Four State Farm Show, BBI and S&H will be showcasing the Georgia company’s industry leading platform for broadcast application of fertilizer and lime, MagnaSpread, as well as BBI’s sector-defining spreader for precision application of manure, chicken litter, and a host of organic materials, Endurance.

MagnaSpread and Endurance feature BBI’s exclusive flat, wide spread pattern, a key driver in achieving greater efficiency and yield from nutrient applications. Each of these hydraulic platforms features BBI’s proprietary Binary Manifold, making connections to all major precision agriculture technology suites a veritable snap.

The Task Command System features auto-steer capability, guidance, and variable-rate technology, with painted-screen dashboards enabling in-the-field targeting of key nutrient application.

“I am very proud to represent BBI Spreaders in the heartland region of America,” stated Hobson.  “This Four State region of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma is where everything comes together across American agriculture.  It’s where the Bread Basket meets Big Poultry, with plenty of livestock business to boot. And at the center of all of that agribusiness coming together is our company, working to develop equipment that brings maximum return for area producers and operators looking to make greater investments in precision, efficiency, and yield.  Congratulations to our partners, S&H, for a well-deserved 45th year in business.  We look forward to celebrating with them at Four State.”
